To Arms!!! Doctor Revolt Against AMA Dinosaurs Breaks Out Across the Land!

We're sick of hearing this crap

After the announcement today that the American Medical Association (AMA) had come out against the Obama healthcare reform initiative and a government based healthcare insurance plan, protests erupted across the land. First after our post from yesterday there was this post from Alison Bass who cites other physicians describing their outrage as well as this post from Chris McCoy MD who publically resigned from the AMA over the outrage.

I have spent my whole life listening to physicians blathering about socialized medicine and I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE!!

Creating a government healthcare plan that has a 3% instead of a 33% overhead is NOT going to increase costs! And let me tell you girlies the VA provides damn good healthcare! (Spoken as VA Doc) So there!

Obama is taking his case directly to the people and yesterday traveled to Green Bay where he spoke directly in support of a government sponsored health insurance plan. He said this will happen in the next two months or not at all. Should be interesting times.

I started a cause on facebook called ‘Protest Chowder Headed AMA Opposition to Healthcare Reform‘ and I urge everyone to join. Physicians stop thinking about your profits and think about your patients! Although I especially hope doctors will join the cause is open to ALL.
