Having carried those signs (briefly and proverbially) for Novartis et al., I can confirm they view conference attendees as Johns or “Joe-Beer-Can Cardiologists” as the case may be. No doubt Elsevier will be publishing peer reviewed conference papers in a few months…

They’re everywhere, aren’t they, Doug? My pain docs occasionally push me to have one of Medtronics “garage door openers” installed in my spine. I keep saying no. No guarantee the dang thing would work, to begin with. I think you’re right on about who are *really* the pimps and whores. It’s sickening. Worse, they seem to be global, don’t they?
