Great job. Maybe a follow up story on the “lack of DNA” in the room. The attempt by Mignini to have the standards lowered to try and obtain any trace of DNA that was not found within the room.
As far as the bra clasp, I think that the viewer needed to realize that Raffaele was a frequent visitor and the clasp was found in a common area, or cross contamination was a probable possibility and that Guede had prior convictions with knives, his extradition from Germany when he fled. The knife did not match the wound pattern and how the tabloids were spoon fed by the prosecutors.
I think that more could have been said concerning just how any DNA should have been found during a violent murder if Amanda and Raffaele were involved.
I realize time constraints were involved, so how about a part two since the evidence is being re-visited and there seem to be problems in trying to convince the judges of guilt. These two kids are innocent, I have seen absolutely no convincing evidence to keep these two any longer.
Mignini could not remember from one moment to another how long he had the journalists, seemed confused, trying to save his reputation as he works on an appeal for the same crimes. that may be evident in this case.
When do convicted criminals get to hold such a high position and keep the same job of power that he abused?
This just proves to me, innocence and a total anti-American bias, I have read the comments, hate filled, horrible and the libel suits against both parents and possibly if there is a follow up, this could be presented. This veiled attempt to keep any emotional support away from Amanda is obvious.
Mignini certainly has motives and looked confused, uncertain and should never had been allowed to reside over this case.
The documentary at least, made the Lifetime movie look phony, and this documentary was so much more informative and believable.
Too bad it was not released prior to the Lifetime Hollywood made movie, claiming to be based on a true story, when there were so many leading scenes to make one believe in Amanda’s “sex crazed and drug crazed” motive. People will believe that to be fact. So many “Mignini-isms were loaded into that movie, people don’t educate nor do they really look into the real facts, so thank you for presenting a more valid and fact based documentary, let’s see a follow-up based on the forensics and the misleading stories thrown to the hungry tabloids, proven to be false. One hour was not enough.

The part of the program focusing on Amanda’s false statement and comparing her ordeal with others who were interrogated by this bunch along with the way Magnini acted when questioned convinced me the man wasn’t telling the truth.

  4. Lucca says:

The sole rapist and murderer is Rudy Guede.

Mr. Guede’s DNA was found all over the crime scene and on the victim.

No legitimate evidence of any kind places either Amanda or Raffaele at the crime scene.

The Prosecutor Mignini knows that neither Amanda or Raffaele are guilty but won’t back down from his original ridiculous theory of a satanic cult murder since he doesn’t want to hurt his reputation. This Prosecutor doesn’t have a conscience or a soul and doesn’t care if innocent people are punished for a crime obviously committed by someone else.

Mignini is evil and I hope that he pays for his crimes.

Mignini has now fired back at the journalist who runs the Perugia Shock blog and legally made Google shut the blog down. What does that say about the man? He has filed a libel suit against him, as well. He is grasping at straws to save face, his job and his spotty reputation.
And coming from Italian news, Patrizia Stefanoni, forensic scientist was ordered by the court to present the forensic evidence, and has not complied nor handed over the “damning” evidence for review. All as Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito sit in prison, during the 40 day extended review of the evidence, so blatantly unavailable to the defense and the judges.
The fact that Mignini has been convicted of this type of behavior, ie: wiretapping, mishandling evidence etc. before and found guilty is pathetic, and he was allowed to provide “theories and motives” based on what he felt to be signs of guilt. These include but not limited to “cold blue eyes”, the food choice while under interrogation, 54 hours without any legal representation a food choice of “pizza”, creating falsehoods of cartwheels in the police station, necking during the investigation, all found to be false. His big witness contradicts himself, is a admitted heroin addict, (seems like Mignini aligns himself with known addicts and has used him on other cases), so maybe his odd behavior on your documentary can be explained.
He still sits in power and sounds like he is either demented and should be relieved of his duties immediately. He held Amanda and Raffaele for an entire year before indicting them, the cross contamination can be seen on video while collection of mop that was dragged into the crime scene by Stefanoni’s crew. His motive of a “sex crazed drug fueled orgy” is insane. He fast tracked Guede and sentenced him to 16 years, even though he confessed, DNA proved him to be the murderer but sentenced two innocent young people to 26 and 25 years, Amanda getting the largest sentence. He then indicted her for libel, trying to add another 3 years on to her sentence, as well as her parents for speaking out about the physical abuse at the hands of the police, when questioned by the British tabloids. Which he allowed the tabloids complete access to his crazy motives as well as sensitive non-existent evidence in an attempt to taint the public of guilt.
Why is he still in power? When will the Italian courts see that he manipulated this situation to fit his “crazy theories”, if it walks like a duck….Mignini should be relieved, convicted, and I hope both Amanda and Raffale are monetarily compensated, as well as freed as soon as possible. NO evidence, NO conviction. Free them now and drop the libel suits as they are just a cruel way to keep Amanda and her parents apart. Absolutely the most heinous and horrible criminal conviction I have ever seen.
