That’s a translation into person speak from a letter I got a couple of years ago from Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals that started out with “Dear Healthcare Professional” and went on to their new “black box warning” for their antibiotic drugs Avelox (moxifloxacin hydrochloride) and Cipro (ciprofloxacin). Here is their warning:
Fluoroquinolones, including Avelox/Cipro, are associated [...]

The fluoroquinolone antibiotics, which include drugs like Cipro, were first introduced in the 1980s. They inhibit DNA gyrase, an enzyme needed for bacterial DNA replication and therefore bacterial cell replication. The 36,000 deaths per year trotted out every year by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) here in my hometown of Atlanta, GA, are of course a lie,
Today there was the first death in the US from swine flu, a 23 month old in Houston, Texas, and the earliest case found so far was identified in La Gloria, Mexico, a five year old named Edgar Hernandez. Schools are closed throughout Mexico, and the virus continues to spread, with over 150 dead in Mexico, and confirmed cases in California, New York, Texas, Ohio, Kansas, Indiana. Based on this news we have to consider the possibility of school closings here.
My latest update on swine flu and treatment with Tamiflu is on the CNN website AC360 here.
The number of swine flu cases keep increasing all the time, with twice as many cases in the US today as there were yesterday. And the countries affected increase as well, with confirmed cases in Mexico, the US, Canada, Scotland, Spain, and possibly France and Israel. The World Health Organization (WHO) has now upgraded the disease to Phase #4, which means that human to human transmission is occuring,
