We tried CBT, we tried other meds, I tried the natural "GABA calm" and really worked the placebo aspect. None of it seemed to change his symptoms in a meaningful way. We finally tried low dose zoloft, with really no optimism this would work either. And within 2 weeks, he could sleep through the night without fears, and day symptoms were gone. Zoloft has been a life changer for us also, please don't rip on all pharmaceuticals because that is your bias, sometimes medication actually does what it is supposed to.
