Do you need to take a multivitamin every day? What if you don't have
time to cook and eat nutritious meals? Are there any potential negative
health consquences to taking high doses of vitamins, or a multivitamin
for that matter? Most people assume that if you need a minimum
amount of vitamins to be healthy, that taking extra vitamins is a good thing.
In fact many governments put extra vitamins into food. And the Nobel prize
winning scientist Linus Pauling convinced many that mega doses of
vitamins would be good for your health. Is there any evidence to support
these claim? Is there any potential harm to taking vitamins?
Why did Denmark ban Kellogg's cereal that is fortified with vitamins?
What about supplements taken by so many Americans?
Will chondroitin and glucosamine prevent osteoarthritis?
Answers to these questions and more are in this book.
